Erika L. Gonzalez
Erika L. Gonzalez currently serves as the Director of the Regional Office in Orange County. As the team leader she provides leadership and guidance through the analysis and effectiveness of the operation.
Ms. Gonzalez was born and raised in Mexico where she completed her studies as a Chemist, Pharmacologist-biologist, at the UNAM. Like any young person, in addition to attending school, look for a temporary job, where she grew in the area of administration and management. She attended the university of a well-known company in Chicago. At that time, Ms. Gonzalez thought her area of interest was the sciences. It was not until she became a mother and immigrated to the United States where she understood how valuable the participation of parents in education was, especially in a system different to their own. After participating indifferent activities, she understood the needs of the families that PIQE provides services for. These experiences formed a path to a career around the commitment of parents.
After joining PIQE in 2003 as a facilitator, Ms. Gonzalez went on to serve as associate director, discovering large areas of opportunity in which parents can participate with their students. She has collaborated with organizations in the Orange County community and many education committees including, Cal State Fullerton MEChA, SAC, Council of Exceptional Students 2016, Costa Mesa College,Californians Together, and the Consulate of Mexico in Santa Ana.
Ms. Gonzalez is married and the proud mother of two young high school girls, Daniela and Miroslava, who inject energy into her life. She enjoys helping others, spending time with family and giving others the opportunity to succeed together as a family, too.
