Carlos Robledo | PIQE Senior Director of Operations,

Carlos Robledo is our PIQE Senior Director of Operations, Carlos is a Doctor in Medicine graduated from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in 1993. He was practicing in Tijuana as a Doctor in Family Medicine when he received an invitation to attend a PIQE workshop in 2001. As an immigrant parent of 3 children, Carlos was stunned by the differences he found between the education system in Mexico and USA that he decided not only to graduate as a PIQE parent three times but also to combine his medical career and becoming a facilitator for the San Diego office in 2007. He started working as an Associate Director for the San Diego office in 2008 and in 2012, he was promoted to Statewide Director of Operations overseeing the work of 10 different offices plus the office in Houston TX. As a Director of Operations, he has supported the organization in improving and updating the recruitment model we have in place to reach our families, creating new roles to effectively support the work of our facilitators and the offices’ efforts to graduate as many parents as they can and improving the internal system to keep track of the Operations that take place day to day in PIQE. Carlos is a parent of 3 children: Ricardo, Giovanna and Ellie; 2 of them holding bachelor’s degrees from Harvard university and one from UC Merced. They have also completed Masters and Doctoral degrees in Yale, Loma Linda and Alliance International universities. Outside of work, Carlos loves to spend time with his grandson Rafita, plays organ, piano and drums and he is very passionate about soccer.
