Family Childcare Providers Program
The Family Childcare Providers Program (FCCP) is designed to strengthen the knowledge and skills of families, caregivers, and early childhood providers who support children from prenatal through age five. This five-week program equips participants with the tools to understand how mental health, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and toxic stress affect a child’s early development. Families learn practical strategies that promote healthy growth, early learning, and trauma-informed care within their communities.
Duration: Five weeks (120-minute weekly sessions, offered virtually or in person)
Each weekly session explores topics such as brain and language development, social-emotional learning, and trauma-informed care. Families and providers receive tools to recognize developmental milestones, build positive mental health habits, and support early learning at home and in childcare settings.
The program also connects participants with local organizations that provide community-based resources for families. The final session focuses on preparing children for kindergarten and celebrates participant achievements through a completion ceremony and reflection activity.
