In collaboration with NAFSCE’s Center for Family Math, last year we launched the Family Math Together pilot program to address math anxiety and support families in experiencing math as a natural and meaningful part of daily life. Grounded in parent feedback, facilitator reflections, and implementation insights, the blog shares how moving away from traditional instruction and worksheets toward empowerment and real-world activities can shift math from a source of stress to a space for connection and confidence.
The post highlights practical strategies for educators and practitioners who want to deepen family partnerships, nurture math confidence, and make learning engaging and accessible for every family. At its core, the program promotes a simple yet transformative belief: everyone is a math person.
