Monica Griego | Executive Director • San Diego

Currently the Executive Director of the San Diego Regional Office of the Parent Institute for Quality Education, Monica brings more than fifteen years of expertise in nonprofit management, campaign leadership, community health initiatives, and fund development to PIQE. Prior to joining PIQE, she was Executive Director of the United Way of Northern New Mexico, where she successfully raised a half million dollars in funding for the operational support of safety net nonprofits. In San Diego, her work experience includes capital and capacity campaign work with Words Alive and concert production work with the Arts District at Liberty Station as CEO and owner of ZIA Productions. Additional work experience includes positions with the investment bank Deutsche Bank Alex Brown, the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial in Washington, D.C., and the U.S. White House. Monica earned her Bachelor of Science degree in International Law from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and is a Certificate Holder in Latin American Studies. She enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, and Sunday beach days with her two sons.
