Rose Elena McAuliffe

Rose Elena McAuliffe, MBA, MAFM, is the Chief Financial Officer and vice president for Business and Finance for the California State University Stanislaus located in the Central Valley of California.

Ms. McAuliffe brings over 25 years of financial and investment experience.

Previously, McAuliffe served as the Associate Vice President for Budget Planning and Administration at the California State University Sacramento.  She was instrumental in advocating for funds for affordable housing for the university and improving operational efficiencies for the campus. She also served as the Chief of Financial Planning, Policy and Budgeting at the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS), the largest pension in the country, currently managing over $450 billion in assets.  She led the budget management and oversight of the multi-billion-dollar budget, established multiple financial policies and operational procedures to assure the long-term financial sustainability of the organization.

Ms. McAuliffe served as the elected Treasurer to the Special Education Community Advisory Committee for the Sacramento Unified School District for four years.

Born and raised in California, McAuliffe holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of California Davis: International Relations and Spanish.  She earned two master’s degrees from the Keller Graduate School of Management: master’s in business administration and a masters in accounting and financial management.
